Katahdin Home's John Stass spent the first 12 years of his working life with L.L. Bean. There he learned to appreciate the meditative and relaxation qualities associated with the outdoors. He has also recognized that fishing rods are not the easiest objects to store safely and tangle free.
In designing Katahdin Home’s rod holder, he not only wanted to offer a holder that functioned flawlessly, but he also wanted to upstage every rod rack available elsewhere in form and elegance.
Our Cold Brook Fishing Rod Wall-Rack is crafted from fine solid hardwoods to artisan standards… suitable to support your prized Fenwick and Orvis rods with confidence and pride.
The dimples in the rack’s base-shelf are cork padded to provide maximum protection. The upper rod-rail is trimmed in felt to gently, but securely grasp the rod shafts. Our standard wall-rack accommodates 12 rods, but custom sizing is available and priced accordingly.
The rod-rack shown here is in birdseye maple, but it is also available in cherry, walnut, red oak and ash… and all woods are finished with our signature hand-rubbed oil finish.
